Ordr.in is really psyched to participate in the HackNY Fall Hackathon. In case you don’t know, HackNY is a super organization that matches outstanding college tech talent with startups in NYC.  Great internships, great exposure, great way to build the NYC Startup Ecosystem.

After watching other startups get cool enough to recruit from this awesome talent pool, Ordr.in is participating in the fall hackathon.  We are excited to see what these guys can do.

If any of the participating students are reading this, a few ideas to offer:

   1. buy a friend dinner (maybe using Venmo for payments?)

   2. menu memory app that tracks all of your food purchases, building a sharable personal menu and history

   3. social dinner where friends use the app to coordinate a meal together.

   4. Cuisines of the World app that tracks what types of food you order and generates a map of your purchases.  Definitely shareable.

   5. Random Meal Generator, for when you just don’t know what you want.

We’ve seen cool mashups of the Hunch API, a Boxee food ordering app, and other cool things.  Can’t wait to see what you guys come up with.

See you Saturday
